Small World Theatre

Small World Theatre is an artist-led company with many decades of commitment to Arts and Sustainability Small World Theatre has 4 main streams of activity: We create performances: Producing and performing our own original shows and events: creating theatre performances that can tour small and mid scale venues. Street shows and site-specific spectaculars often using myth and legend as well as intimate, environmentally sensitive experiences. Running our own venue: We present a range of arts and performance events, mentoring emerging artists/performers, hosting conferences, community events, classes and workshops. The building is an accessible, welcoming space that provides a model of sustainability for other organisations striving towards a zero carbon future. Implementing projects and facilitating workshops: these are developed and delivered in house, in the community by us and for other agencies. Designing and delivering international projects in arts and theatre for development. We facilitate workshops, design and deliver our own accredited training programmes and also for other organisations. These programmes build skills and confidence with people of different ages and abilities. We are pioneers in developing and using methodologies now increasingly called SEED SCALE We work creatively in education: We work with primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, teacher training institutions and universities offering programmes of training and workshops for teachers and students. We create educational touring theatre in Welsh and English that are accompanied by dedicated workshops, curriculum mapping and teaching resources. We are an experienced AGORED Accreditation Centre working with creative education to help people of all ages and abilities gain meaningful, life changing qualifications.

Made in Roath

madeinroath is for anyone and everyone who’s interested in art, culture, community or just having fun, and we have people from all across the UK (and beyond) who travel to Roath to take part. Our annual festival takes place in October, when we host a week-long extravaganza of events and activities across all creative disciplines, showing the very best of local talent alongside some excellent national and international artists. We believe art and culture can enrich the lives of everyone, and so that’s why a lot of what we do takes art out of the traditional museum or gallery spaces and into the community.

Youth Arts Network Cymru

YANC is an organisation that brings together professionals delivering across the youth sector in Wales to share best practice and resources. YANC is an embryonic network which started life in response to the youth arts sector lacking any sort of cohesive thinking and sharing of practice across Wales. Initially the network was formed on the basis of various companies who were initially involved in a project. However this quickly grew as there was a genuine appetite amongst practitioners and organisations alike to develop practice and networks pan Wales. YANC has now become a genuinely pan Wales network which involves both Welsh and English speaking companies and individuals. It regularly hosts skills and practice sharing workshops across Wales as well as its biennial CASGLIAD conference.
