Anne Morgan

Anne makes jewellery using reticulated silver and combining semi-precious stones. Her new work ‘Coast’ is supported by the Arts Council of Wales and uses a combination of her own work and found objects gathered from coastlines. The pieces are often one off’s, and echo the land around the beaches, with a sweeping echo of the land that ceases to exist through nature’s natural erosion, that instead of losing something, layers of the previous history whether natural or manmade are uncovered. Anne has also been selected to design and make the crown for the 2012 National Eisteddfod in Wales. She also received a Project Grant in 2008.

Theatr Ffynnon

Theatr Ffynnon is a unique community arts theatre company working primarily with adults and young people with learning disabilities, and is recognised as a model of best practice in supporting the development of a disability arts culture in Wales and beyond. We exist to enrich the lives of people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues, by providing development opportunities through training and participation in the visual and performing arts. Through such diverse opportunities, we endeavour to change perceptions within the communities we work, by promoting a greater understanding and engagement. Creating a challenging, expressive but safe environment is essential to our work. We believe that by building some of our work around topical or divisive issues, we can help to confront negative attitudes and defy expectations of what can be achieved by individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues. The diversity of work we undertake is consistently devised and led by the membership (which currently stands at 100) and the communities we work within, to establish themes or issues pertinent to the individual & communities we represent.

Phil Lambert

Based in Cardiff and with a background in the Sciences, my artwork is exhibited across the UK, and Europe. Works are held in private and public collections. I hold a distinction in Masters level Fine Art from Swansea Met, along with a BSc in Human Sciences from University College London. My work has been recognised by both The Bath Royal Society of Artists and the Welsh Artist of the Year competition (winner of the student category in 2010). I was also featured as a cover Artist for AN magazine in April 2012 and selected by AXIS as one of the top five graduating artists in Wales in 2011 and 2012. Inspired by my unusual perspective as a colour-blind artist and my background in human sciences, my work has developed from observational painting and drawing to consider perception in a much wider sense. I use a multi-media approach, which includes, painting, drawing, film-making, audio, working with the public and public engagement. My work combines bold aesthetics with conceptual interest created through extensive research in philosophy, science and art history.
