The organisation is also a delegated Lottery funds distributor for Arts Council of Wales, and through four funding rounds per year it awards small grants to support and enable performance and composition. A vast array of performances and new works have flour-ished through the Lottery schemes: from workshops with disadvantaged children and work by and with disabled artists, to performances by community choirs and brass bands, and composers in residence with a host of organisations.

Tŷ Cerdd remains a charity dedicated to the promotion and celebration of Welsh music. We hope supporters will choose to make a donation in place of a membership payment, to help work with composers, promote Welsh music, and support community music-making.

Steph Power, the organisation’s Chair, said: "The move from membership organisation to network hails the start of an especially exciting new phase for Tŷ Cerdd; one which builds on existing initiatives to further our reach into communities across the nation. At a time when so much in the arts and wider society feels uncertain, it’s a sign of hope for the future that increasing numbers of Wales’ music-makers stand to benefit from the re-sources and expertise available at Tŷ Cerdd."
